UNEA-6 Regional Consultation Meeting for the European Region

The consultation strives to prepare stakeholders for UNEA 6 and to build capacity, to discuss and agree on a regional statement for UNEA 6 with core messages, and to gather input to the positions developed by the up-coming thematic working groups leading on our input on different UNEA resolutions.

Interpretation from and to English in other UN languages used in the region (French, Spanish, Russian) as well as sign language are possible where necessary.

Travel support for participants to cover your trip and accommodation is available and priority will be given to UNEP accredited organisations with an interest in the process, ensuring geographic and gender balance and the participation of different Major Groups. Organisers will provide guidance on accommodation options and seek to make a booking for all.

The RCM will be held as part of our preparations for UNEA-6 to be held from 26 February to 1 March 2024 at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme: Effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral actions to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.
